MORTGAGE BROKER PRE-LICENSE EDUCATION
MORTGAGE BROKER PRE-LICENSE EDUCATION has been finalized. ALL mortgage brokers, unless exempt, will be required to complete 40 hours of pre-license education and pass a state examination prior to January 1, 2009. The Mortgage Broker Education Task Force is still considering grandfathering. While this issue remains unresolved, it appears that any mortgage broker who has obtained a professional designation within the past three years will have to complete 20 hours of education and pass the state examination.
