Important Solutions for Families Facing Foreclosures and Concerned Citizens

Homeowners having difficulty making their house payments or facing foreclosure are invited to a free meeting hosted by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City and County of Denver and City Council Representatives. FHA officials, City Council District 1 Rick Garcia, District 3 Paul Lopez, and District 9 Judy Montero request persons who face arm resets and foreclosure attend the Stop Foreclosure Now meeting. Concerned homeowners can meet with FHA approved housing counseling agencies for one-on-one free counseling by Northeast Denver Housing Center, City of Aurora, Adams County Housing Authority, Colo. Division of Housing-Local Affairs, Brothers Redevelopment, Inc, Colorado Division of Housing—local affairs and Rocky Mountain Mutual. For people attending, free parking will the available in Lot J at Invesco Field’s workroom on the field level (Mile High Stadium—enter east side of the stadium off Bryant Street).
The open forum is an opportunity to learn about available resources that could make all the difference between continuing as a successful homeowner or losing a home to foreclosure. Individual time will be made available for persons who want to speak refinancing and/or income/job changes with an approved housing counselor. Representatives from the lending and real estate industry will also be available to confidentially discuss financial options.
